Dr. Meghan O’Connell, a Kenosha native, is stoked to be back in her hometown, bringing her dental expertise to the community. She’s got some serious academic chops too! Graduating from the University of Wisconsin with degrees in biology and business was just the beginning. She then ventured over to Marquette University for dental school, where she rocked it.

But wait, there’s more! Dr. O’Connell’s dental journey took an adventurous turn when she was awarded a Health Professions Scholarship with the Army during dental school. She became an officer, proudly serving her country. After dental school, she took on an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Fort Benning, GA. Talk about immersing herself in all aspects of dentistry! Dr. O’Connell became a dental powerhouse during this time, building a rock-solid dental foundation.

And the adventure continues! She practiced general dentistry at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, and even deployed to Iraq, providing dental care to soldiers in the field. Talk about dedication!

But wait, there’s more! Dr. O’Connell’s thirst for knowledge led her to the University of Louisville, where she pursued her orthodontic residency. Graduating with a Master’s Degree in Dentistry and a Certificate in Orthodontics, she became a true orthodontic superhero.

After all her specialized training, Dr. O’Connell continued her military service as an orthodontist at Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. She tackled all types of orthodontic cases, with a particular focus on severe malocclusions. Not only that, she mentored and served as faculty at the San Antonio Military Medical Center Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program and Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program. Talk about making an impact!

Dr. O’Connell is a rockstar in her field, being a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of prestigious organizations like the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and WI Dental Association. She’s all about creating beautiful smiles and seeing the confidence it brings to her patients. You deserve that smile, and Dr. O’Connell is here to make it happen!

After a decade in the Army, she’s back home and thrilled to be serving the community. When she’s not crafting stunning smiles, she enjoys quality time with her husband and children, Claire and Ethan. Traveling and cheering on WI sports and the Louisville Cardinals!
