Brackets are bonded to your teeth in a single appointment. You can often start the same day as your consult.
You'll visit us every 6–8 weeks for wire adjustments and to pick your next color combination.
When your teeth are perfectly aligned, the braces come off and you get your custom retainer to keep your new smile.

Modern metal braces are much more comfortable than older versions. You may experience some soreness for 1–2 days after placement or adjustment appointments, which is normal. Over-the-counter pain relievers help, and the discomfort passes quickly.
You'll want to avoid hard, sticky, or chewy foods — things like popcorn, hard candy, gum, and ice. We'll give you a full list at your placement appointment along with tips for eating comfortably with braces.
